To Worship God and to Serve Others

Following the example of Jesus Christ, we seek ways to offer forgiveness, the beginning of healing and reconciliation. We hear His call to make changes in our lives that encourage wholeness and wellness. Atonement Lutheran Church strives to be a community formed and founded in Christ. We are seeking and discovering ways to live lives in praise of God and in service to others. We welcome any who will share the excitement of the journey with us!

The Sacramento area offers its residents a diverse cultural and living experience. Atonement supports many local community organizations and national/world programs offered through the ELCA. In addition, our faith community has a long tradition of contributing their time and talents and contributions to these programs which help enrich and heal lives:
  • Scouts
  • Rosemont Youth Choir
  • AA Group
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Stand With Africa
  • World Hunger Relief
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Sacramento Choral Society
  • Lutheran Social Services

In May 2016, the Lutheran Development of Sacramento (LDSS) awarded Atonement a grant in the amount of $2,000 to be used for their ongoing ministry to provide groceries to those in the community who need it.

LDSS is a private trust that was established in the year 2000. It's mission is to support the Lutheran Congregations and agencies within the Sacramento region (a 50-mile radius of Sacramento) with innovative approaches to ministry in terms of promoting Lutheranism. LDSS offers financial grants ranging from $500 and up.
